Artificial Plant Care

Artificial plants are wonderfully easy to live with, but a few minutes of care now and then keeps them looking their best for years.

After unpacking

Plants are packed tightly to travel safely, so leaves and branches can arrive pressed together. Give your plant a few minutes:

  • Stand the plant upright in its final spot.
  • Start at the bottom and gently bend each stem and leaf outwards into a natural position.
  • Vary the angles slightly. Real plants are never perfectly symmetrical.
  • Step back, look from across the room, and adjust any gaps.

Regular dusting

Like any surface in your home, leaves collect a little dust over time. Every few weeks:

  • Wipe leaves with a soft, dry microfibre cloth, or use a feather duster.
  • For hard-to-reach spots, use a hairdryer on the cold setting.
  • For a deeper clean, wipe leaves with a slightly damp cloth and let them dry. Avoid soaking the plant and avoid harsh cleaning products.

The right spot

  • Our plants are made for indoor use.
  • Avoid long periods of strong direct sunlight to keep the colours fresh.
  • Keep plants away from open flames, fireplaces and heaters.

Styling tips

  • Place the plant in a planter or basket and cover the nursery pot with a layer of moss or pebbles for a natural finish.
  • Group plants in odd numbers and different heights for a relaxed, natural look.
  • Tall trees look best with at least 30 cm of space above the top leaves.
